Metra Arlington Park Station (Impark Lot #78)

I was already at the train before realizing that I hadn’t checked the spot number I was in. Rather than be 30 minutes later to work, I decided, “Oh well, live and learn. I’ll have to pay a $10 ticket. ($25 of paid after a week)”. Apparently, whoever operates this lot has changed their policy — undoubtedly announced somewhere in fine print so nobody would possibly know. I got back to the lot tonight (27 degrees outside) and walked around the lot looking for my car for 30 minutes. I called my son to come pick me up. While driving around the lot again to double check for my car, I called the Arlington Heights Police Department, who informed me that my car was towed by Redmond’s towing. To get my car, I have to get a ride to Schaumburg and pay $172.50. All because I assumed the policy was the same as always. It’s criminal.

there are plenty of parking places around, but there is nowhere to Park, as the designated places are all occupied

Horrible road conditions. Huge potholes will blow out your tires or damage your car if you are not careful. Also, a light pole was knocked down last week. The pole was removed, but they didn’t clean up the large amount of glass left behind.

One of the worst Metra parking lots:(1) Grossly inadequate parking - no spots available after 7:40am Mon-Thu(2) Poor road / surface conditions, full of potholes, watch for cars splashing water on wet days(3) Unsafe with a number of breakins reported, they will steal your GPS device if visible(4) "New" payment machines are horribly slow for credit card transactions for daily parking

there are never any spaces available for me. they reduced the number of parking spots. i've got 10 rides that are over 2 years old that i can't use because there's no parking.

Parking has become really tight. Need many more parking slots

This lot needs to add more parking spaces. I purchase a monthly Metra pass to commute downtown and back m-f and half the time i find myself driving into the city because there aren't any parking spaces available for my vehicle or others whom i car pool with to make it back and forth.
